Everybody panic, because it's only 5 weeks until Valentines Day! We need to start thinking about what to do, what to buy and where to go before it's too late.
The problem is that all the swanky restaurants get booked up months in advance, so if (like myself) you haven't made a reservation, the odds of getting in are slim indeed.
But thankfully, Valentines Day falls on a Friday this year, effectively giving us a "Valentines Weekend", which lets us organise something for the Friday, Saturday or even the Sunday.
Last year I burnt the M&S romantic meal for two and had to make it up to my girlfriend. So I went a bit crazy and booked a West End Theatre & Two Course Dinner For Two.
We went to see The Lion King and got some fantastic seats right down the front, on the end of a row. And before that we both enjoyed a delicious dinner, washed down with a bottle of wine at a little French restaurant, literally over the road from the Lyceum theatre.
So you really can't afford to screw Valentines Day up! Because making it up can be very costly. Although we did have a fantastic time.
What have I got planned for Valentines Day this year? Nothing yet!
But I have booked the day off, potentially giving me a 3 day weekend to sort something out...
