Sea Safari for two – see scenes from under the sea

When you think about exploring marine life it’s only natural to assume that you need crystal clear seas and foreign climes to see exotic sea creatures, but that is certainly not the case. There is a vast array of sea-life in the waters around the UK, and as an island nation it can be surprising just how few people know of the treasure trove of nature that exists off our coasts, but a sea safari can change all that with an introduction to the myriad of species you can spot in and under the water.

Whilst out on the sea safari, you can keep an eye open for several species who call the area home including bottlenose dolphins, the species brought to our television screens by Flipper with the appearance of a permanent smile; common dolphins, who generally travel in groups of 10 – 50 and can often be found playing in the surf together; basking sharks, who aren’t nearly as scary as you might think as despite being the second largest species of shark they only eat plankton; grey seals are often found in this area, either feeding in the sea or basking on the rocks with their colony; sun fish are also common sightings on a sea safari, along with plenty of other marine animals so bring your binoculars and see how many you can spot.
